Peter's depth of experience in assessment and coaching has allowed him to develop approaches that integrate the strengths of each. His coaching work begins with careful assessment of personality, style, motivations, and coworker perceptions. His assessment work includes a strong emphasis on full development of potential.
Peter earned his Ph. D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1980. He began his assessment work with the consulting firm of Demann, Ltd. In the mid 1980s, joining the corporate Human Resources staff of Norwest Corporation (now Wells Fargo), he worked with the re-engineering of retail delivery and trust services and developed systems for performance management and succession planning. He also began coaching managers who were weathering the significant changes in financial services following deregulation.
He returned to work as an outside consultant with the firm of Martin-McAllister and then with MDA Consulting Group. In 2000, Peter launched his own consulting firm to focus on the areas of executive coaching, assessment, and consultation as it relates to leadership development and team effectiveness.
